Rider Physiotherapy 

Physiotherapy helps to  promote the physical health of the rider through injury prevention and management and providing individual rehabilitation programmes. Following a detailed assessment physiotherapy identifies the postural faults, can treat any injuries for all kinds of musculoskeletal problems – back, neck, shoulder, knee pain or post surgery.

The ultimate aim is to achieve a balanced horse/ rider partnership.

Physiotherapy treatment may involve :
  • Joint mobilisation techniques
  • Electrotherapy
  • Massage therapy
  • Myofascial release
  • Stretching exercises
  • Strengthening exercises
  • Postural advice and education
  • Rehabilitation programme using gym and pilates / resistance equipment
Rider Assessment

All riders start with an off-the -horse assessment to identify  postural asymmetries and determine which muscles are tight and overactive and which are weak through a series of observations and functional
